De mon côté je viens de test de créer la M1 et les Vx, avec le tools de jeff kurtz, NeoSoundBuilder.
J'arrive a ajouter les bruitages et musiques (pour ces dernières je me suis aidé de la vidéo de raz pour savoir ou les placer). Mais il y a un bug avec 2 track/Bruitages 00E3 et 00E8 énormément de sons/voix à la suite, ça ce lance après l'intro et ce relance par moment.
Je pense que le problème viens du faites qu'il n'y a pas de départ et de fin pour chaque son/voix.
Maldoror68, y aurait il moyen de savoir comment trouver les offset, je galère toujours pour finir mon hack puzzle crazy ou si tu peu me partager les fichiers que raz a upload .

Apologies again for the bad footage capture.
Main progress is that music is now supported in the game (previously it was just the title page)
I'm now blocked whilst I get up to speed with Vx ROM banking (which would allow me to hopefully play more of the tracks - most of the ADPCMA samples sit outside of the 2MB footprint, which I think is the one currently supported by the game.)
If anyone is familiar with how to put multi-rom banks together, get in touch

I've not posted anywhere else - feel free to share the link if you wish.
Regarding the ADPCMA - I don't believe we can go any lower with the sample rate without degrading the music (if I listen closely, we already miss some of the top end spectrum from the music in comparison to the original CD-DA - with percussion effects a little subdued. It's not something that would be a deal breaker - and it's completely understandable given that the CD's now squeezed into 6.5MB..which I still can't quite believe someone actually made happen!
However, to downsample further to get into 1MB (we still have the original SFX ADPCMA to accommodate, remember) would likely be a step too far.
I think what we need to explore is organising the ADPCMA across several 2MB Roms (as I think you mentioned in one of your earlier posts) and using bank-switching.
Zintrick's not set up for that, though, so I need some help in getting a development environment together that supports multi-banked VRoms, and that allows me to slot in the Zintrick roms + modified m1.rom over the top. I'm new to Neo dev, so I've not yet got the knowledge for that and need to Google further.
If anyone can help me learn, or wants to MP to bounce ideas, I'd be very happy to listen

Just checking in to say I finally had chance to return to this project this week, and progressed things a little.
I managed to get more of the samples active by using SamSho2 as a donor title in Mame, (rather than zintrickb), which gives us 7MB of Vrom space to play with and resolves the crash issues I had previously.
There's a fair bit more to do before this is in any way releasable, but just wanted to share in case it's still of interest
(My full apologies for the incredibly poor recording. I'll try and get a better capture at some point)
