Hello from San Diego, California
Hello everyone!
Although I played the original release NeoGeo arcade games, it wasn't until Samurai Shodown that I fell in love with NeoGeo. Luckily around 1995 I was able to get a used AES Gold System and 7 games from the internet video.rec.marketplace newsgroups for only $300 shipped! Since then I've collected off and on for AES, CD, and ports.
Also a long time SNK fan since Ikari Warriors arcade with the rotary sticks! Actually my favorite game since I was a small child. I was never very good at the game, but the rotary stick was quite thrilling to use and the game itself was fun to watch. Especially with older players with more skill than I haha.
Fast forward a little bit to 2000, I was able to acquire my first arcade US style machines one of them being a Samurai Shodown 2 arcade machine! However around 2001, I sold all my US machines because I wanted to go all Japanese arcade machines. By around the end of 2001 I had a Konami Windy 1, Jaleco Pony Mark IV, NeoGeo MVS 33", Neo Candy 29, HyperNeoGeo 64 (like Super Neo 29), Capcom Impress, SEGA Astro City, and a SEGA Megalo 410. I got a few more Japanese machines since then, but not much more as I ran out room haha. Still have them all though to this day almost 20 years later.
Hope to talk more NeoGeo with you guys especially custom projects!

Hi
My sister lived in SD for 20 years.
Nice city, not too small, not as big as L.A.
Is there some retro games shop in SD?

Re: Hello from San Diego, California
Rest In Peace Julius, you were a great fighter. Keep playing my friend.
