Metal Slug 1 Jap
Hello there
Maybe you can help me a bit, a good friend gave me his MS1, but what I find strange are the different board colors below. If I compare it with Arcade Col., you can also see 2 different colors on MS1, then again I found 2 completely green or 2 completely bright boards online, do you know more?

Hello.
Can you insert it in a NEOGEO ? The boards seems to have a different size

Different size?
That's because of the picture ;-)

Re: Metal Slug 1 Jap
The two color of the PCB is normal.
My legit metal slug AES Jap and others that i have see are all the same two colors, so it's not a problem.

I bought it from him, but very cheaply, because I'm not sure whether it's legit or not.
The boards and the cover look good in my opinion, so the boards are 100% legit, but that's why I'm here to hear your opinion :-)

Re: Metal Slug 1 Jap
you can check here for instance
http://www.arcade-collector.com/metal-slug-neogeo-71
and the fact that soldering holes are covered with tin, make it less seemingly a MVS chip swap from a Kof95 AES for instance, as KOF95 has much more chips populated on the PCBs
your insert looks good and in good condition, I only have a "perfect convert" but I can see differences in colors with most of repro inserts, do you also have the guide book ?

Re: Metal Slug 1 Jap
Unfortunately he doesn't have the manual, so I only gave him €200 for it because at first I thought it wasn't legit, but €200 for MS1 Jap without a manual is ok I think.
Maybe I'll find the manual at some point :-) or someone here in the forum will see it for sale
On Ebay there is a manual for MS1 but for the US version

Honestly, I only paid him €200 because there was no manual included.

I believe your friend has no idea of market prices.
A metal slug 1 jap, even without booklet and in perfect condition, is worth much more than that

Hi Frizen, given the pictures, it looks like totally legit and it's a kind of crazy to get it for this friend price

If you really bought this for 200€ you are the luckiest guy on earth.
And your friend might come second after the guy who bought two pizzas for 10.000 BTC

Re: Metal Slug 1 Jap
I have now compared the PCBs and in my opinion they look legit etc.
It actually happened that way
A friend bought the game from someone else for 200€ because he didn't know whether it was the original because of the different PCB colors and I also bought it from my friend for 200 and opened it first :-)
